The main purpose of establishing the calibration laboratory as one of the fully specialized departments of the Soil Mechanics and Technical Laboratory Company is to respond to the needs of internal and external customers in the field of laboratory equipment calibration services and quality control of related projects in the field of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development. This laboratory provides calibration services in various quantities including force, temperature, mass, volume, dimensions, pressure, loading and chemical parameters. Equipment calibration is done in the soil mechanics and technical laboratory according to regional, national or international standards.

The Calibration Lab of the Soil Technical and Mechanical Lab company is able to calibrate tensile force machines with a capacity of 750 kN and compressive force machines with a capacity of 3000 kN with the help of its set of load cells. By equipping its collection with a 3000kN class 00 pressure load cell, this laboratory has the capability of calibrating a set of compressive load cells with a lower class (class 0.5, class 1 and class 2). It is worth mentioning that this load cell is the only 3000 kN class 00 load cell with the German GTM brand available in the country and it is minimal in terms of error and uncertainty compared to other load cells. It is used as the main reference for calibrating load cells with class It is used lower in the country.
The above load cell has a valid calibration certificate, which enables the establishment of traceability to international standards. The design of this load cell is such that the results are the same regardless of environmental conditions and in different places, and according to the table, it benefits from an acceptable reproducibility (0.045 %). Other features of this load cell include high accuracy (according to the table) and low weight. Also, this load cell has high resistance and stability.
