The General Directorate of Technical and Mechanical Soil Laboratory of Fars Province was established as a 100% government company from the subsidiary companies of the Ministry of Roads and Transport in 1344, and now with more than 50 years of experience in quality control of construction projects, it is a government company affiliated to The Ministry of Roads and Urban Development is providing services.

These services include a wide range of activities as follows:

Formulation of standards and selection of appropriate methods in performing quality control tests
Providing engineering services in geotechnical, soil mechanics, rock mechanics, concrete and metals, bitumen and asphalt, exploratory drilling and geotechnical studies, quality control of structures, building materials, welding quality control, etc.
Providing educational and consulting services to experts of various devices
Conduct applied research
Calibration of laboratory equipment

Currently, this general office operates with 10 branches and more than 80 local units located in most parts of the province, and with more than 80% of specialized staff with university education, it is the most extensive and well-equipped company in the field of quality control and providing geotechnical services to Construction projects as well as private sector in Fars province.
